Malaga

La última excursión a Málaga fue alucinante. Había tanto que ver en tan poco tiempo. Sin mencionar que la playa de la Malagueta nos estaba esperando al final de la gira. Empezamos con un recorrido en autobús. Primero nos llevó al puerto donde pudimos ver cruceros gigantes. Nos enteramos de que Málaga fue fundada por los fenicios. Actualmente hay 600.000 personas que residen en Málaga. Otro hecho mórbido pero interesante, fue el cementerio inglés creado en 1831. Este cementerio surgió porque los cuerpos de personas no religiosas fueron enterrados en la playa. Esto se convirtió en un problema cuando la tormenta haría que los cuerpos emergieran. De ahí la necesidad del cementerio. A continuación, nos dirigimos a la Plaza de Alcazaba y despues al museo de arte de Picasso. A Picasso le encantaba las mujeres. Mucho de su arte demuestra esta fascinación con las mujeres. Picasso era versátil en su arte. Exploró muchos estilos de pintura y también escultura. Al fin, Málaga fue la joya de mi visita a España.

The last excursion to Malaga was amazing. There was so much to see in such a short time. Not to mention that the Malagueta beach was waiting for us at the end of the tour. We started with a bus tour. First it took us to the port where we could see giant cruise ships. We learned that Malaga was founded by the fenicios. There are currently 600,000 people residing in Malaga. Another morbid but interesting fact was the English cemetery created in 1831. This cemetery arose because the bodies of non-religious people were buried on the beach. This became a problem when the storm would cause the bodies to emerge. Hence the need for the cemetery. Next, we went to the Plaza de Alcazaba and then to the Picasso art museum. Picasso loved women. Much of his art demonstrates this fascination with women. Picasso was versatile in his art. He explored many styles of painting and also sculpture. Malaga was the jewel of my visit to Spain.
